Major Highways

Muskegon is serviced by 11 truck lines that take advantage of easy access to major highways such as I-96, M-37, M-46, M-120 and US-31 to reach destinations in Michigan and beyond. 

Rail

Rail Service is provided by both CSX Transportation and the Michigan Shore Railroad.  Both Seaway Industrial Park and Business Park North have rail access on-site,  leading directly to all off the ports on Muskegon Lake.

Air

Located about 5 miles from downtown Muskegon, the Muskegon County Airport is a safe, clean and modern commercial air facility serving a five-county area along the beautiful Lake Michighan shoreline.  Regional airline services are provided  SkyWest Airlines.  Located only 50 miles to the east is the Gerald R. Ford International Airport, which offers connections to  most major airports. 

Port

Muskegon Lake offers the deepest port accessible to Lake Michigan.  Great Lakes Dock and Materials and West Michigan Dock and Market provide port facilities on Muskegon Lake.  A channel between Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan makes these facilities available to Great Lakes shipping via the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Lake Express Ferry

The Lake Express links the states of Wisconsin and Michigan with terminals in Milwaukee and Muskegon. The high-speed Lake Michigan crossing takes just two and one-half hours, saving passengers a lengthy drive through heavily congested Chicago.
